Dear Tour Directors:
What does BOURQUIN’S OLD DEPOT RV PARK & EVENT CENTER have that a group of travel weary, saddle sore travelers want?
From the nostalgic old railroad depot this operation calls home, we offer the best home cooked food in many miles. A typical statement of first timers coming through our front door is, "Oh my, it smells good in here!" And then on their way out, they’re saying, "The food was absolutely wonderful - better than grandma used to make, and she was a good cook!" or "This has got to be the best kept secret in the State."
Now you think, "So I might be interested in bringing my tour group by. What can I expect?"
1. Unlimited Parking - In addition
to our gravel drives and close-in parking, we have expansion
capabilities on 16 acres of additional grass.
2. Quick In & Out - We have a large and very
clean shower house with multiple stools and showers; and fun,
courteous, and fast when needed dining service.
3. Country Atmosphere - We offer a relaxed country
atmosphere with our own bakery and kitchen right in the middle of
the depot. Fresh whole wheat bread just out of the oven, lean and
boneless BBQ Pork Ribs, or Shirley’s Depot Chicken are
prepared for tour group dinners. Should you arrive during lunch
hour, some options include homemade soups, fresh salads and
Shirley’s Country Whole Wheat Bread or Whole Wheat Pecan
Cinnamon Rolls. Some prefer to take their pecan roll with them on
the bus. While dining, Shirley provides a historical presentation
on the 113 year-old Union Pacific RR Depot and how Dan and she
started Bourquin’s Farm Market and Trading Company
almost 20 years ago.
Check us out. The next time you, or your driver, go through Colby, Kansas, take a few minutes to check us out. From junction I-70 & Exit 54, turn North, then first Left on I-70 Frontage Rd., and West 0.5 miles. We are eager to meet you at your convenience, show you around, and discuss options for booking your tour groups at other meal times during the day.
We believe that once you’ve stopped at BOURQUIN’S OLD DEPOT EVENT CENTER, you’ll make it a regular stop when traveling I-70 Tour Group Services

7. Dan and Shirley Bourquin have lived in Colby 60
years. In fact, both their families have lived in the Colby area

Shirley likes to give a 10 - minute overview of that history; and
then invite guests to ask questions about the area. They love
it!

13. If you were to stop local residents on the
street, and ask them the best place in town to eat, virtually all
would say ’BOURQUIN’S OLD DEPOT EVENT CENTER’.
14. Oh, did I forget to mention that the food is
like your Grandma used to make - from scratch!
15. BOURQUIN’S OLD DEPOT EVENT CENTER will become one
of the major highlights for your guests.
